Bundesliga 2 - Hertha pros go on Christmas vacation a day early
The professionals of second-division soccer club Hertha BSC can look forward to an extra day of Christmas vacation. The training session originally planned for Wednesday was canceled and the team took a break on Tuesday until January 3, as the capital city club announced on the X platform. "But the lads will be given homework," coach Pal Dardai had already announced on Monday, meaning they should keep themselves fit over the holidays.
The team will travel to Spain for a training camp on January 7. Fortuna Düsseldorf will kick off the second half of the season at the Olympiastadion on January 21. The Berliners finished the first half of the season in seventh place in the table, six points behind third place in the relegation play-offs. Hertha have not been beaten in nine competitive matches and have also reached the quarter-finals of the DFB Cup. On January 31, they will face 1. FC Kaiserslautern at the Olympiastadion.
