Second-tier league - Hertha BSC sets a new record for season ticket sales.
The German football club Hertha BSC, which is currently in the second division, has announced that they've received more than 15,000 season ticket renewals during the first phase of sales for the 2024/25 season. This surpasses the number of tickets sold in the previous season, which matched the levels from the previous top-flight years. According to the club, this new record is a sign of their fans' enduring loyalty and devotion.
Hertha BSC's Managing Director Thomas Herrich expressed his gratitude for the fans' support, particularly given the fact that season ticket prices were increased for the first time in nine years. "The enthusiastic response from our fans and members shows how much they appreciate the Berlin way of football we've been promoting," Herrich stated. "This remarkable result is just the beginning and demonstrates that our efforts as a club are being noticed and appreciated."
