Rejhan Hasanovic is now the new boss for Hertha BSC's U23 squad. Previously coaching the U17 team at the Hauptstadtclub, Hasanovic steps in to replace Stephan Schmidt. The team's announcement reveals Schmidt will stay with the club despite a frustrating season in Regionalliga Nordost. Negotiations are underway to determine Schmidt's new job title.
In other Hertha BSC news, former national player Michael Hartmann is coming back to the team. Hartmann had moved to FC Bayern München's youth academy in the summer of 2022 but was let go in the spring of this year. He'll now lead the U19 team in Berlin. The previous coach, Oliver Reiß, will be leaving Hertha by choice.
