- Hertha Borrowed Ibrahim to the Third Division's Team
Hertha BSC's midfielder Bradley Ibrahim, aged 19, was sent off to English League One side Crawley Town on loan right before the transfer deadline. This move was confirmed by the club themselves. Ibrahim had recently joined Hertha from Arsenal London's U21 squad at the end of the last transfer window.
The coach at the time, Pal Dardai, had high hopes for the youngster, stating, "The kid is too good, I'm still waiting to find the flaw." However, as the season progressed, it became apparent that Ibrahim wasn't quite living up to expectations. Instead of making a presence in the first team, he played 11 games for the U23 team in the North East Regional League and even had individual training sessions, despite not being injured.
Hertha believes a loan move is beneficial for Ibrahim's growth. Sporting director Benjamin Weber said, "Bradley is a skilled young player in need of more game time and experience. With the opportunities available in Crawley, it seems like a positive move for him, hence our approval." As of now, Crawley Town stands in 8th position in League One, with 6 points after three games.
The European Union's regulations on player loans between clubs might have played a role in Ibrahim's move to Crawley Town. Regardless, this loan will provide Ibrahim with valuable first-team experience in a different league.
