Happy presents for the little ones: dressed up as Santa Claus, twelve height rescuers from the professional fire department visited the children's wards at Würzburg University Hospital on Wednesday. The "Santa Clauses" abseiled down from the fourth floor and handed presents to the little patients via balconies and windows, according to a spokeswoman for the hospital. A turntable ladder was also used. In addition to sweets, the children received balloons, cuddly toys and toys. The campaign was made possible by donations.

"The shining children's eyes are our greatest reward," said fire inspector Mark Berninger from the Würzburg fire department. Everyone involved volunteered in their free time.
