In the first two European Cup games in the club's history, 1. FC Heidenheim will face the winner of the match between Swedish side BK Häcken and Estonian team Paide Linnameeskond in the playoffs of the Conference League. This was determined in today's draw held in Nyon, Switzerland. The two matches are scheduled for August 22nd and 29th. The identity of the opponent that 1. FC Heidenheim will face will be determined one week before the first leg.

If the football Bundesliga team advances to the group stage, they stand to gain additional revenue of four to five million euros, as confirmed by the club's chairman, Holger Sanwald, to the German Press Agency. "If we are eliminated in the playoffs, it will only be 750,000 euros."

The journey of 1. FC Heidenheim in European competitions has seen significant milestones, with the club's rich history including their first two appearances in the European Cup. If they manage to advance further in the playoffs, they could potentially earn substantial revenue.
