Heidenheim welcomes in-form VfB

The starting position ahead of the first Württemberg clash in the Bundesliga since the 1999/00 season could hardly be more different. Back then, VfB Stuttgart faced SSV Ulm, now promoted 1. FC Heidenheim will host the in-form VfB on Sunday (17:30/DAZN) at the end of the tenth matchday after four defeats in a row. FCH coach Frank Schmidt was particularly annoyed by their performance in the second round of the DFB Cup at Borussia Mönchengladbach (1:3).

VfB have won six of their last seven games. Stuttgart even seem to be able to cope with the loss of top scorer Serhou Guirassy. The attacker will also be missing in Heidenheim, while Josha Vagnoman could be in the squad for the first time this season.

Despite their recent four-game losing streak, 1st FC Heidenheim prepares to host the in-form VfB Stuttgart in the Bundesliga this Sunday. With six wins in their last seven matches, VfB Stuttgart seems unfazed by the absence of top scorer Serhou Guirassy, as they look to clinch a victory against their Württemberg rivals.
