Heidenheim wants to keep rivals Bochum at a distance

Bundesliga soccer team 1. FC Heidenheim wants to keep VfL Bochum at bay in the relegation battle on Sunday (3:30 p.m./DAZN). Coach Frank Schmidt is therefore hoping for the promoted team's fourth home win of the season. The 49-year-old has committed his team to a strong end-of-year spurt ahead of the twelfth matchday in order to start the new year in a good position. With ten points so far, FCH have one point more than Bochum and can line up with their best players.
