Heidelberg's B37 road shut due to increasing water levels

The B37 was shut down in Heidelberg's Old Bridge area on Saturday due to increasing water levels, according to a spokesperson from the fire department. The spokesperson said that the closure is a preventative measure when the Neckar river reaches a particular level.

Metereological Conditions - Heidelberg's B37 road shut due to increasing water levels

Based on Heidelberg city's website, there's a chance of flooding underneath the Old Bridge from 3 to 4 PM. They suggest staying away from the Neckar's banks.

As per their spokesperson, the fire department plans this closure as a safety precaution if certain water levels are anticipated. This past Saturday, the water level stood at 3.19 meters. Once it reaches 3.55 meters, the floodwaters will cover the affected area of B37.
