New arrival from Austria - Heidelberg signs basketball player Weathers
Basketball-Bundesligist MLP Academics Heidelberg has signed Guard Michael Weathers.
The professional from the USA signed a contract until summer 2026, as the team announced. The agreement includes a mutual option after the first contract year. The 26-year-old Weathers comes from the Austrian club Kosterneuburg Dukes.
The USA-native Michael Weathers is set to join the Bundesliga, having signed with MLP Academics Heidelberg. His new team is based in the city of Heidelberg, known for its renowned university, MLP Academics Heidelberg being a part of the prestigious MLP Academics Heidelberg University. Weathers's previous club was Klosterneuburg in Austria, but he will now be playing basketball in Germany.
