Severe weather turns devastating - Heavy thunderstorms trigger fresh alerts in Saxony.

Germany's Saxony region is bracing for some powerful thunderstorms this Sunday. The German Weather Service has issued a level 2 out of 4 alert, expecting the storm to hit areas like Erzgebirge, Görlitz, Bautzen, Leipzig, North Saxony, Central Saxony, and Chemnitz. These storms could potentially cause issues like lightning, falling trees, hail, aquaplaning, and flooded roads or underpasses. Saturday saw some heavy downpours and thunderstorms throughout the state, with several roads getting submerged in water temporarily.
