Climatic Conditions - Heavy rains accompanied by intense thunderstorms occurred on Thursday.

Tomorrow in Berlin and Brandenburg, expect some pretty unpleasant weather. The German Meteorological Service (DWD) warns us that thunderstorms, rain, and possibly hail are on the horizon. The showers have already started in the west and in the capital this morning. Come noon, heavy local thunderstorms are forecasted to occur, lasting until evening. In these storms, hail, strong winds, and heavy rain of up to 40 liters per square meter are possible, with the potential for up to 60 liters per square meter if rain continues for hours or multiple storms occur at the same location.

The epicenter of these thunderstorms is expected to be in northeastern Brandenburg and from the Havelland to Brandenburg city limits, all the way to the Fläming region. Temperatures are expected to reach a balmy 19-22 degrees Celsius. Outside of the thunderstorm zones, the sky will be partly cloudy with light winds.

DWD expects these bothersome weather conditions to subside by nightfall, with the sky clearing partially and fog forming in some areas. The temperatures will drop to 13-10 degrees Celsius.

The forecast for Friday is largely cloudy skies, but also periods of sunshine. There could be showers or stronger thunderstorms along the Oder and Neiße rivers, as well as in the evening between the Elster and Neiße. The rest of the region will experience light winds except for those areas.

On the night from Friday to Saturday, rain is predicted south of Berlin, with occasional thunderstorms. Elsewhere, the sky will be cloudy, and temperatures will cool down to 15-13 degrees Celsius.

The weekend kicks off with thunderstorms and rain showers in some regions. The southern half of Brandenburg is predicted to experience heavier and more intense rainfall on Saturday. The highest temperatures should be between 23 and 25 degrees Celsius.
