The German Weather Service (DWD) has issued thunderstorm alerts for persistent heavy rainfall this weekend. Locations under threat include eastern Baden-Württemberg and major regions in Bavaria, stretching from the Baden-Württemberg border to Regensburg and reaching as far as Bamberg. DWD predicts rainfall of up to 100 liters per square meter. Beware of potential dangers such as life-threatening flooding near waterways, as well as landslides.
