Following an incident involving a large truck, two lanes on motorway 8 in the Miesbach district are temporarily shut down. The 12-tonne biscuit-laden articulated lorry inexplicably slid off the road at Irschenberg, as per police reports. The vehicle subsequently crashed through the median barrier and got stuck. As a result, the left-hand lanes heading towards Munich and Salzburg are obstructed, a police spokesperson confirmed.
Fortunately, no one was harmed in the mishap. The trapped truck was expected to be extracted later in the day using a crane. According to the ADAC, there's a considerable traffic jam - the traffic organization reported around 12 kilometres of queues in the direction of Salzburg.
