German handball champions HB Ludwigsburg have signed Swedish national team player Jenny Carlson. With Carlson, 29, joining from Brest Bretagne Handball, one of Europe's top playmakers will now don the jersey of the Ludwigsburg team, the club announced.

No details were given about the length of Carlson's contract. She is currently playing with the Swedish national team at the Olympics in Paris and was the top scorer with seven goals in their 31:28 win against Germany.

"She's a handball genius like no other, with a wealth of international experience. She plays with great speed and has an excellent overview of her teammates," said head coach Jakob Vestergaard.

Following her impressive performance at the Olympics, where she was the top scorer with seven goals against Germany, Swedish national team player Jenny Carlson has decided to join German handball champions HB Ludwigsburg. With her outstanding skills and international experience, Carlson is set to bolster the attacking unit of the Ludwigsburg team.
