Hate comments against Svenja Huth: "Go hate somewhere else"

The German Football Association has defended national player Svenja Huth against homophobic comments on the X platform. "We comment, moderate and partially block. Unfortunately, this is already the moderated version. All the more reason for us to welcome positive feedback and dissenting voices. Important!", writes the DFB. After the arrival of the German team before the Nations League match in Rostock against Denmark (Friday, 8.30pm/ZDF), the association showed a photo of the VfL Wolfsburg vice-captain with her partner Laura and a baby carriage.

The couple had become mothers to a son (Emil) for the first time after the World Cup in Australia. The 32-year-old Huth had spoken openly in various media about the artificial insemination her partner had undergone in Spain.

At X, people are now voicing their displeasure about the family model and a "sick society". "We've already blocked out a lot of them," wrote the DFB in response to criticism from a user who demanded the deletion of these hate comments, responding with humor in some places. The association also said: "Please go hating somewhere else. Thank you."

  1. The German women's national soccer team will be represented by Svenja Huth in the upcoming Nations League, following her open discussions about her partner's artificial insemination in the media.
  2. Despite the German Football Association's efforts to moderate comments on social media platforms, some users have expressed displeasure towards the family model of Svenja Huth and her partner.
  3. The DFB, in response to criticism, encouraged those posting hateful comments to do so elsewhere, reiterating their commitment to promoting positivity and diversity within the sport.
