- Harrison Ford: I'm just a douche for money sometimes.
Hollywood star Harrison Ford claims he approached his Marvel role without any great idealism. "It required apathy," the 82-year-old joked in an interview with US magazine "Variety" when asked what his transformation into the mustached General Thaddeus Ross in the new "Captain America" film demanded of him. "It required being an idiot for money, which I've done before."
Ford makes his debut in a Marvel superhero film in "Captain America: Brave New World". He stressed that he wasn't trying to belittle anything. "I'm just saying that you have to do certain things that your mother probably wouldn't want you to do - or your acting coach, if you have one," Ford explained. "But it's fun, and I enjoyed it. I had a great time on set."
The film is set to hit German cinemas on February 12, 2025.
Harrison Ford's Marvel role in "Captain America: Brave New World" marks his first appearance in a superhero film for the United States' film industry. Despite his humorous comments about the role, Ford expressed his enjoyment and enthusiasm for working on the project.
