Harris is promoting advocates for Kennedy, the U.S. presidential hopeful.

On a Friday gathering, Kennedy expressed in an Arizona state press conference that he wouldn't be participating in several intense election battles and would instead back the Republican contestant, Donald Trump, for the November 5th presidency. He also took the chance to express dissatisfaction towards the Democratic Party, having been an integral member for a long time.

Furthermore, the 70-year-old voiced his disapproval towards the selection of Harris as the Democratic presidential nominee following President Biden's departure, without prior participation in the primaries.

The former president, Trump, appreciated Kennedy's move, calling it "very pleasant support." He further praised Kennedy as a "great person."

Analysts can't agree on the impact of Kennedy's decision on the election campaign. The Kennedy family scion, renowned for peddling conspiracy theories, currently boasts single digit approval ratings.

Kennedy affirmed that his name would continue to appear on the ballot in the majority of states. Nevertheless, he won't be contesting in around ten highly competitive states, stating that his involvement would only cause disruption.

In this tight presidential contest between Trump and Harris, a marginal victory margin in some of these allegedly swing states could swing the outcome. Dan Kanninen from Harris's campaign team also voiced that the battle for the White House would be "extremely, extremely close."

Kennedy's decision to support Trump in the election contrasted with his previous affiliation as a long-time Democratic Party member, having served as a prominent figure.

Despite Kennedy's announcement to withdraw from several intense election battles, his name will still appear on the ballot in the majority of states.
