Hansa Rostock must do without defender Strauß

Second division soccer club FC Hansa Rostock will be without defender John-Patrick Strauß for the upcoming games. As the club announced on Tuesday, the 27-year-old full-back suffered a muscle tendon injury in last Sunday's match against Hertha BSC (0:0). This was the result of examinations carried out at the beginning of the week. Coach Alois Schwartz will now have to rebuild the Mecklenburg side's defense ahead of Sunday's match at 1.30 pm/Sky at 1. FC Magdeburg.

Despite Strauß's injury, FC Hansa Rostock will continue their Bundesliga 2 campaign. Given his absence due to a muscle tendon injury, Hansa Rostock's coach Alois Schwartz will need to strategize differently, possibly relying more on other defenders during their match against 1. FC Magdeburg.
