Hansa Rostock has dealt with their disappointing start to the season by bolstering their team with the acquisition of striker Sigurd Haugen. This third-tier football club procured the Norwegian from Danish elite-level side Aarhus GF on a temporary basis until the season's end. Presently, the winless and relegated FC Hansa sits in the second-last spot in the 3. Liga after four matches, having managed only two goals.

"I'm a dedicated striker with plenty of vigor, always on the lookout for scoring opportunities. I'm excited about Rostock, as my agent Rade Prica, who works for me, has only given me praising reports," declared Haugen. Swedish Prica represented Hansa from 2002 to 2006, netting 23 goals in 123 appearances and contributing to 23 assists.

Prepared to train with the squad for the first time today, Haugen brings along extensive European league experience. The 27-year-old has donned the jerseys of NAC Breda in the Netherlands, Union Saint-Gilloise in Belgium, as well as Ålesund and Sogndal in his native land.

Haugen believes that his vast experience with other European clubs will greatly benefit Hansa Rostock, hoping to help them secure better results. Despite their current position, Hansa Rostock is eager to prove that they are not just another 'other' team in the 3. Liga.
