Television - Hans Sigl seeks audience contact after "Bergdoktor" shoot
Actor Hans Sigl (54) is seeking direct contact with the audience after completing filming for the 17th season of the ZDF series "Der Bergdoktor" - on an Advent reading tour. He told the German Press Agency shortly before the planned start of the tour on Tuesday (December 5) in Fürth that there is a big difference between standing directly in front of an audience or in front of a television camera. He can speak to people directly as Hans Sigl and doesn't have the character Martin Gruber or another role in between.
During the "Bergdoktor" filming, he was always on location at the Wilder Kaiser, and now he is looking forward to the tour: "It's nice, especially as it takes me all over Germany - Fürth, Chemnitz, Neusäß, Hanover, Hamburg and then Munich." On December 22, there will also be a big Christmas singalong in Munich's Olympic Hall.
On December 31, he can then be seen hosting the ARD New Year's Eve show at 8.15 pm. He wants to sweeten the last evening of the year for people, he said. He also wants to use the show to bring joy to people who are alone on New Year's Eve. The co-host is Francine Jordi, and the guests include OMD, Loona, Vaya Con Dios and Mark Keller, Sigl's colleague from the "Bergdoktor" series.
According to the broadcaster, the new season of the successful ZDF series starts on January 4. Eight episodes have been filmed for the 17th season. Actors Heiko Ruprecht, Monika Baumgartner and Ronja Forcher will be back as the Gruber family.
