Hannover 96, a lower-tier football team, has recruited defender Josh Knight. The 26-year-old central defender transfers for free from Peterborough United in England's third division and is given a two-year contract with the option for an extra year, as confirmed by Hannover on Tuesday. This marks the team's first summer signing under coach Stefan Leitl.
Marcus Mann, the sporting director, stated, "We first noticed Josh through his data and scouting assessments. What we saw in the videos was confirmed by the live matches we watched."
Born and raised in Leicester, England, Knight honed his skills in Leicester City's youth system. He played more than 200 games for Wycombe Wanderers and Peterborough United, including games in the second league.
