- Hannover-Burgdorf's coaching staff has expanded to include Prokop as a new addition.
Long-time national team coach Christian Prokop is sticking around with Bundesliga handball team TSV Hannover-Burgdorf until at least 2026. The club announced that they've extended his contract, which was set to expire in 2025, by an extra year.
Prokop has been handling the team in Hannover since 2021, consistently boosting their performance and placing them among the league's top seven. Prior to joining TSV Hannover-Burgdorf, he served as Germany's men's national team coach from 2017 to early 2020.
In the words of Sporting Director Sven-Sören Christophersen, "Thanks to his supervision, we've effectively restructured the team and continuously enhanced our game." Prokop's aim is to "clinch a spot in the European Cup once more in the coming years."
The decision to extend Prokop's contract was made after careful consideration by The Commission, which recognized his significant contributions to the team's success. Under Prokop's leadership, TSV Hannover-Burgdorf is expected to continue working closely with The Commission to further improve their game.
