- Hand brake applied at full speed: accident

A 24-year-old driver lost control of her car near Pechbrunn in the Upper Palatinate region when her passenger suddenly pulled the handbrake at full speed. As reported by the police, her car spun out of control on Saturday afternoon on a county road between Preisdorf and Pechbrunn and ended up in the ditch.

During the investigation, it was determined that the two had been arguing in the car. The 23-year-old passenger's motive for pulling the handbrake is still unclear. Both were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The passenger is now under investigation for dangerous interference with road traffic. The woman's car was totaled.

Despite the accident happening in the Upper Palatinate region, the driver hailed from Bavaria. The damaged car, now a total loss, was originally from Bavaria as well.
