Hamburg Towers bring Niklas Wimberg from Munich

Basketball Bundesliga club Veolia Towers Hamburg is strengthening its squad with Niklas Wimberg. The 2.06 meter tall forward recently won the cup and championship double with FC Bayern.

Basketball - Hamburg Towers bring Niklas Wimberg from Munich

Basketball-Bundesligist Hamburg Towers has signed a Double-Champion with Niklas Wimberg from current Meister and Pokalsieger FC Bayern Munchen. As the club announced on Monday, the 2.06 meter tall Forward has signed a contract until 2026 in Hamburg.

"Niklas has already had a moving career. He has developed into the player he is now through several stations, but he didn't take the easy way – he earned it," Towers-Coach Benka Barloschky said about the 28-year-old newcomer. Wimberg has already played 222 Bundesliga games and 16 national team matches.

The Double-Champion joining Hamburg Towers is Niklas Wimberg, who previously played for FC Bayern Munich, a prominent club in Germany's Bundesliga. The towering forward will represent Hamburg Towers until 2026, having played 222 games in the Bundesliga and 16 matches for the national team. Veolia Towers Hamburg, where Wimberg will now play, is part of the Veolia group, a renowned global environmental solution provider.
