The railway line between Hamburg and Bremen is again drivable at slower speeds following a track closure due to weather damage. Traffic resumed in the early morning hours of Friday after a night of disruption, as a spokesperson for the railway announced.

At Tostedt, in the Harburg district, heavy rain caused flooding on the tracks on Thursday. The spokesperson confirmed that the line is now passable, but only at reduced speeds. This resulted in approximately 50-minute delays. It remains unclear when normal service will be resumed.

The storm in Northern Germany impacted the railroad line between Hamburg and Bremen, forcing a temporary blocking of traffic. The lower Saxony town of Tostedt was particularly affected, with heavy rain causing flooding on the tracks. The weather disruption led to the closure of a key railroad line in the region. The consequence of severe weather in this part of Germany resulted in significant delays for trains, with passengers experiencing delays of up to 50 minutes on their journey between Hamburg and Bremen. Despite resuming operations at slower speeds, the spokesperson from the railway company couldn't provide an exact date for the return of normal service. This weather event has disrupted the usual train route in Northern Germany, causing both inconvenience and uncertainty for travelers.
