Haiti's interim government selects a new prime minister.
By common agreement, Conille was selected following the council's evaluation of potential contenders, Leblanc Fils announced.
Previously, Conille held the position of prime minister from 2011 to 2012 under Martelly's presidency. Currently, he serves as the UNICEF Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean.
CNN attempted to obtain a response from him through his office.
