Hagel calls for 180-degree turnaround: "Migration policy at an end"

The designated CDU state leader Manuel Hagel has called for a 180-degree turnaround in migration policy. "The migration policy we have been pursuing for years has come to an end," he said at the state party conference in Reutlingen on Saturday. Volunteers in the municipalities could no longer cope. We have not reached our limits, but have long since exceeded them, said Hagel. Political problems could not be solved by making them taboo. The task now is to limit the influx quickly and effectively.

Hagel suggested a shift in the CDU's stance on migration, stating that the current policy has reached its logical conclusion. Given the strain on municipal volunteers, he advocated for a swift and efficient reduction in the influx of migrants.
