Günther in favor of rapid implementation of migration measures

Schleswig-Holstein's Minister President Daniel Günther (CDU) has called for the rapid implementation of measures to control and limit migration to Germany. Günther told the German Press Agency early on Tuesday morning after the conclusion of the Minister Presidents' Conference that the agreement between the federal and state governments had created important conditions for limiting immigration to Germany. "Now it is a matter of the federal and state governments quickly implementing the measures."

Günther pointed out that the federal government's contribution to costs had also been reorganized. In future, the federal government is to pay an annual lump sum of 7500 euros per first-time asylum seeker. "The federal states have thus pushed through the breathing financing system they demanded. At the same time, measures have been adopted to reduce costs for our local authorities," said Günther.

The federal and state governments need to swiftly implement the agreed migration measures, as proposed by Schleswig-Holstein's Minister President Daniel Günther. This will help control and limit the migration to Germany, as outlined in the Minister Presidents' Conference agreement. Furthermore, the federal government will now contribute an annual lump sum of 7500 euros per first-time asylum seeker, a decision that was pushed for by the federal states to improve their financial situation while also implementing cost-reducing measures.
