Premier's Office Announces Major Policy Changes - Günther considers Merz as a potential chancellor option.

The leader of Schleswig-Holstein's ministry, Daniel Guenther from the CDU party, regards Friedrich Merz as the Union's potential candidate for the upcoming federal election. According to Guenther, Merz excels in both party and faction leadership. He manages to address the concerns pressing people's nerves. In an interview with "Ippen.Media", Guenther expressed his confidence that the party will be in charge again after the election.

Guenther doesn't anticipate a rivalry for the chancellorship like the one before the 2021 polls. He believes that Markus Soeder, the Bavarian Minister President from the CSU party, has grown wiser and will endorse the nominated candidate this time. Soeder has explicitly declared that he's not up for the chancellor role. "I trust his statement," Guenther said.
