During their investigation into the series of violent confrontations between two opposing factions in the Rhine-Main area, authorities apprehended another individual suspected of involvement. This 30-year-old individual is reportedly the one who drove the vehicle discharging gunshots at a moving vehicle in May 2023, according to Frankfurt Police Headquarters' statement. He surrendered peacefully during a fuel stop on a Thursday evening.

The primary shooter was previously apprehended in November 2023. Thankfully, no casualties occurred during the event, and the motorist of the target vehicle managed to safely flee the scene.

Ever since 2021, these two groups have been locked in recurring conflicts in Frankfurt. Regrettably, numerous individuals have been harmed in these skirmishes, including a man who was stabbed in Frankfurt in April 2021.

In a chilling incident that occurred in January 2021, approximately 30 individuals from one group raided a kiosk in Frankfurt, which belonged to their rivals. Shots were exchanged during the assault. Subsequently, in November 2022, the Frankfurt Regional Court convicted four defendants and condemned them to prison for a burglary case. To address this escalating issue, the local police have established a specialized investigation agency, SC 2804.

The investigation revealed that the crime involving the vehicle discharging gunshots was part of the escalating conflicts between the two factions in Frankfurt. The series of violent incidents had resulted in numerous injuries, including a stabbing incident in April 2021.
