Professional handball league in Germany - Gummersbach misses Kiesler and Vujovic following operations.

The VfL Gummersbach will be without two crucial players during their season readiness and maybe even for the start of the league: Defender Tom Kiesler is expected to be sidelined for around twelve weeks due to a knee surgery, and left winger Milos Vujovic is predicted to be out for around four months due to a shoulder surgery. The German handball team disclosed this on Monday. "Tom suffered a meniscus injury in September, but he's been playing for the VfL in recent months and went under the knife as soon as the season finished," revealed team physician Jan Vonhoegen.

Vujovic, who underwent shoulder joint surgery last week, sustained the injury in September and was the cause at that time. Nevertheless, the Montenegrin national player continued to play until the end of the season in early June.
