Champions League - Gulacsi captain: Leipzig with a B line-up against Bern
As expected, RB Leipzig will line up with a B-team for their final Champions League group game against Young Boys Bern. As announced by coach Marco Rose, Peter Gulacsi will be in goal and will also wear the captain's armband. Christopher Lenz, Fabio Carvalho and Nicolas Seiwald will also make a rare starting appearance. Stars Xavi Simons and Loïs Openda will be given a break and will initially sit on the bench.
The game on Wednesday evening (18:45/DAZN) will only have statistical value. RB had already secured second place in Group G and thus a place in the round of 16. Bern are safely in third place and will continue their European Cup campaign in the Europa League in the new year.
