Guirassy trains with the team: fit for Dortmund game?

The comeback of goalscorer Serhou Guirassy at VfB Stuttgart is apparently getting closer. The striker trained with the Bundesliga club's team again on Wednesday for the first time following a muscular injury in his thigh. The 27-year-old took part in at least parts of the training session, a VfB spokesman confirmed.

Coach Sebastian Hoeneß had recently expressed his hope on several occasions that Guirassy could return to the VfB squad for Saturday's home game against Borussia Dortmund (3.30pm/Sky). It is still unclear whether the Swabians will be able to use him again against BVB. Guirassy suffered the injury almost three weeks ago in the 3-0 win against 1. FC Union Berlin, having previously scored his 14th goal of the season.

Hoeneß can count on playmaker Enzo Millot again for the third-placed team's top match against runners-up Dortmund. Millot was absent from the 2-0 defeat at Heidenheim on Sunday for personal reasons. Like Guirassy, right-back Pascal Stenzel partially trained with the team again after suffering thigh problems. The complaints had forced him to take a break at the weekend.

Despite Guirassy's progress, his availability for VfB Stuttgart's clash against Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga remains uncertain. This highly anticipated match pits Guirassy's team against Dortmund, who have been impressive this season.
