Authorities were summoned to a residence close to Hanover because of bones stuck in shoes on the driveway. At first glance, this might have suggested a potential murder scene, but thankfully, the Wedemark neighborhood was spared such a tragedy, as confirmed by the police. Upon further examination on a Sunday, law enforcement officers discovered that the bones were actually of an animal's origin.

The homeowner admitted to playing a prank. In an attempt to ward off unwanted guests, he inserted cow bones into a pair of shoes and strategically placed them. Unfortunately, his prank went awry when a perplexed 49-year-old passerby mistook the situation for something more sinister and dialed the police. Once the 61-year-old homeowner retrieved the bones, the matter was brought to a close.

The 61-year-old homeowner confessed to his curious prank, explaining that he inserted animal bones into shoes to deter unwanted visitors. Upon realizing the misunderstanding, the passerby felt relieved and apologetic for overreacting.
