Modify headline to: Alter Title to: Reformulating: Electromagnet [EM] headline. - Grings is excited for the European Football Championship, calling it a "mega event."
Ex-German female footballer Inka Grings is eager for the men's European Championship. "It's going to be a massive event. This is just what we need right now. You won't witness better football," said the 45-year-old during a "Rheinische Post" EM-Talk in Düsseldorf on Tuesday evening. The ex-striker, who previously coached Switzerland until last November, finished her coaching certification with national coach Julian Nagelsmann.
Grings backs Nagelsmann's leadership. "Julian will get a grasp of how he wants his team to play. I'm certain he's made the right decisions with his players," stated the Düsseldorf native. Even the goalkeeper predicament doesn't escape Grings' support.
"It's a tricky and unsettling call. Nevertheless, it must be made early and typically, one shouldn't mention Manuel Neuer. We'll have two amazing goalkeepers, and I feel bad for Marc-André ter Stegen. He was just born before his time," expressed Grings, who plans to catch some Championship matches in person.
