SpVgg Greuther Fürth has parted ways with midfielder Orestis Kiomourtzoglou. The Franconian Bundesliga II club announced that the 26-year-old has joined SV Wehen Wiesbaden in the 3rd Liga with immediate effect. Both clubs have agreed to keep the details of the transfer confidential.

Kiomourtzoglou had only joined Fürth last summer from Heart of Midlothian in Scotland. He made only seven league appearances and one cup game for the team coached by Alexander Zorniger.

"I had hoped for a different time at the club and it's unfortunate that things didn't work out as both sides had hoped," Kiomourtzoglou said. "Nevertheless, I would like to thank the club and the management, and wish the club all the best for the new season."

After his departure from SpVgg Greuther Fürth, Orestis Kiomourtzoglou will continue his career in the Second Bundesliga with a new team. SV Wehen Wiesbaden has welcomed the 26-year-old midfielder, who had previously played in the Scottish Premiership for Heart of Midlothian.
