Greuther Fürth presents record turnover and surplus

SpVgg Greuther Fürth generated the largest revenue in its second division history in the 2022/23 financial year and reported a narrowly positive balance sheet. As announced at the club's annual general meeting on Monday, the club from Franconia recorded revenue of €35.59 million in the previous season. According to the club, this had never been achieved before in the 2nd Bundesliga - the revenue was only higher one season previously in the Bundesliga.

After deducting expenses, a profit of 130,000 euros remained. In the year in the German top flight, where, among other things, significantly higher television money is paid out, there was still a plus of 5.3 million euros.

Managing Director Holger Schwiewagner was satisfied with the balance sheet. He attributed the increase in income to, among other things, more spectators, with an average of more than 11,000 fans attending Fürth matches. He also praised the promotion of young players in his team and recalled that the club was recognized by the German Football League (DFL) as the club with the best youth development work, which was rewarded with more than two million euros.

SpVgg Greuther Fürth's impressive revenue in the Bundesliga 2 contributed to their record turnover in the 2022/23 financial year. The club from Bundnesliga 2, SpVgg Greuther Fürth, achieved a narrow profit of 130,000 euros in the 2nd division, despite higher expenses.
