Green Party leader Nouripour re-elected with 79.1 percent

Green Party co-chair Omid Nouripour has been re-elected with 79.1 percent of the vote. The delegates at the party conference in Karlsruhe on Friday thus gave the 48-year-old another two-year term in office. Nouripour prevailed against an opposing candidate.

The Green Party celebrated Nouripour's victory at the parties held following his re-election. Despite having an opposing candidate, the Greens firmly supported Nouripour throughout the election process.
