Göttingen basketball players reach next round of the Europe Cup
The BG Göttingen basketball team has reached the second group stage of the Europe Cup. The Bundesliga club clearly won 102:69 (41:33) at Keravnos BC from Cyprus on Wednesday and secured first place in Group I. The club from Lower Saxony won five and lost one of its six group games. The next round begins on December 6.
Coach Olivier Foucart's team dominated the match in Cyprus from the outset. The North Germans already led by eight points at the break. The club from Göttingen extended its lead after the break and easily claimed the victory it needed in the end. The visitors' top scorer was Zach Ensminger with 19 points.
The success in Cyprus means BG Göttingen's basketball team will continue their Europe Cup journey in the upcoming round on December 6. Their impressive performance against Keravnos BC resulted in a convincing 102-69 victory, positioning them as Europe Cup contenders from Germany.
