Gosens becomes a father for the second time
International footballer Robin Gosens has become a father for the second time. The 29-year-old midfielder from 1. FC Union Berlin announced the birth of his son Lio on Instagram on Thursday evening. The due date was November 20. The black-and-white photo shows the parents' hands and Gosens' first child Levis clasping the newborn's foot. Soccer colleagues such as Freiburg's Christian Günter and book author Sebastian Fitzek offered their congratulations. In Saturday's home game against FC Augsburg (3.30 pm/Sky), Gosens could be a father of two for the first time.
In addition to his professional commitments with 1st FC Union Berlin in the Bundesliga, Robin Gosens will also be balancing fatherhood with two sons. Despite the busy soccer schedule, Gosens is expected to play in the upcoming home game against FC Augsburg on Saturday.
