Watching TV Shows - GNTM: Jermaine claims first men's victory, Lea holds the women's crown.
Go through the various winners of Germany's Next Topmodel Season 19. For the first time, a guy has won the show: Lea (24) from Düsseldorf and Jermaine (20) from Kassel grasped the victory with Heidi Klum in the current season. During the final held in Cologne, the duo shone brighter than the other five candidates and participants.
Lea: "I didn't predict this"
Upon receiving the announcement, Jermaine, an influencer, got emotional. His eyes filled with tears while show-CEO Klum raised her arm indicating victory. Lea, the victor, was also overwhelmed, saying, "I didn't expect this." She expressed gratitude towards her fans for their support and the multitude of lovely messages she received daily.
The remaining contenders were left behind by Lea and Jermaine in the nearly three-hour show. Out of the ladies, Xenia (24) from Hof in Bavaria came second, with Fabienne (21) from Solingen in third place. The second-place man on the roster was Linus (25) from Berlin. Julian and Luka (24, Frankfurt am Main) inched into the third position as a team.
The models were required to complete various tasks amid the live finale. Luminaries helped guide the candidates through these tasks. Vocalists Robin S. (62) and Sabrina Carpenter (25) mesmerized the audience with their performances. Musical duo Sofi Tukker entertained the crowd with the premiere of their single "Spiral."
During the final photoshoot of the season, previous football professional Bastian Schweinsteiger (39) was invited. He aided the aspiring models by firing balls at a goal. The models were supposed to defend against the shots whilst striking a poised pose in front of the camera of GNTM vet Rankin.
Celebrities included in this event also had their opinions. They considered Lea and Jermaine to be significant contenders.
Historic achievement: Male model on the cover of German Harper's Bazaar
"Only one can be the Next Topmodel of Germany" - a phrase commonly used, however, in the case of the ProSeven production, Heidi Klum, who is 51-year-old, couldn't apply this. She chose a man in addition to a woman for "Topmodel." Both winners can relish their winnings of 100,000 Euros, and they will be on the cover of the German July issue of Harper's Bazaar. This is a feat as Chief Editor Kerstin Schneider (understood this), as male models have never adorned the cover of the German Harper's Bazaar edition before. The final broadcast also revealed that there had been some romantic activity in the season. Armin and Grace, two contenders, had admitted they were now a couple. "I had suspected it a little," commented Klum after they made it clear. "But I didn't know."
