The minister highlighted that the torrential rainfall in Bavaria has caused uneasy conditions in different areas. He expressed his deep gratitude to all the emergency personnel and the selfless volunteers for their efforts. Despite the impossibility of completely eliminating the dangers from flash floods and flooding, water management and emergency services will do their best to minimize risks and damages.

The German Weather Service (DWD) predicts that a heavy rainstorm will cover the state of Bavaria on Friday. The upcoming weekend is expected to bring showers, sometimes strong and heavy enough to cause concern. The northern part of Bavaria could experience rainfall till Sunday. According to the HND, regions in Swabia are likely to witness floods first, followed by the Danube area.
