Soccer - Gladbach with Koné again against Bremen
Midfielder Manu Koné will be available again for Borussia Mönchengladbach against Werder Bremen on Friday (20:30/DAZN). The Frenchman had missed the Borussia game against Union Berlin last weekend due to muscular problems. "The game came a day or two too early for him. But he has now trained normally again all week," said coach Gerardo Seoane on Thursday.
Gladbach's striker Thomas Cvancara, who has only been able to train to a limited extent recently, is still in doubt. Gladbach's coach will not decide whether the Czech will play until Friday morning.
Seoane is taking the recent fluctuations in his team's performance in his stride. "They simply show us where we need to improve. Many teams are subject to fluctuations, but not the top four teams. And we're definitely not one of them," said the Swiss. After reaching the quarter-finals of the DFB Cup last week, his team lost at Union on Saturday, who had been bottom of the table until then.
