Gladbach fan out of danger after attack
The Gladbach fan who was critically injured on Saturday evening after the Bundesliga match between Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Mönchengladbach is out of danger. This was confirmed by the Dortmund public prosecutor's office to the German Press Agency on Monday.
The fan was part of a small group of five people who encountered three supporters from the BVB fan camp and fell to the ground after being punched. He sustained life-threatening head injuries. The accused was arrested shortly afterwards and has been in custody ever since. A Dortmund police homicide squad has taken over the investigation.
The Borussia Mönchengladbach fan, who was involved in a disturbance with Borussia Dortmund supporters following their Bundesliga match, is now out of danger. The incident occurred near the fan camps of both teams, resulting in the Gladbach fan sustaining serious head injuries.
