"Gives real impetus": Hoeneß praises Stuttgart's Mittelstädt
Coach Sebastian Hoeneß is delighted with the development of new signing Maximilian Mittelstädt at Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart. Following his injury in the summer training camp, the 26-year-old has "settled in well" and subsequently "provided real impetus with almost every substitution", said Hoeneß ahead of the game at Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday (18:30/Sky). Mittelstädt has "cut a good figure" in every one of his appearances so far, said Hoeneß. He is glad that the player is here.
The defender moved to Stuttgart from relegated Bundesliga side Hertha BSC before the season. In the win against Borussia Dortmund (2:1) before the international break, Mittelstädt made his second appearance in VfB's starting eleven. "We played a back three and he played on the left. He is a really good option for me," said Hoeneß, who did not want to reveal his tactical alignment for the game in Frankfurt.
Sebastian Mittelstädt's excellent performances in the Bundesliga, most notably as a substitute, have significantly contributed to VfB Stuttgart's games, as mentioned by coach Sebastian Hoeneß. Following his move from Hertha BSC, Mittelstädt has shown his prowess in soccer, exemplified by his effective performance in the 2-1 win against Borussia Dortmund.
