- Girl on board safe from bite attack
After a three-year-old girl was bitten multiple times by a Border Collie on a sightseeing ship on the Edersee on Tuesday, she is now out of danger. As the Hessian Police Headquarters reported today, the child suffered injuries to her arm, head, and an eye. She had to be taken to the hospital by helicopter.
The girl was on board the ship with her mother. As they were about to disembark, they passed by the dog, which was tied up. The animal suddenly bit the child. Further details were initially unclear. The police are looking for witnesses to the incident.
The mother immediately alerted authorities upon noticing the severity of her daughter's injuries. In such a critical situation, an emergency response was necessary, leading to the child's transport by helicopter to a hospital for immediate medical attention.
