German fans have a "special place in our hearts"
The British boy band Take That showed their enthusiasm for the German fans on "Wetten, dass...? "I think Germany was one of the first countries we visited outside of England," said Mark Owen on Saturday evening in Offenburg. That was very special. "Germany has a very special place in our hearts."
The band plans to go on tour again next year. In addition to Germany, stops in Austria and Switzerland are also planned. "We're really looking forward to it," said the band.
In addition to the band, former professional footballer Bastian Schweinsteiger and his wife Ana Ivanović also sat on the TV couch of presenter Thomas Gottschalk, who hosted his last "Wetten, dass...?" show. "Bastian is my hero," said Howard Donald from Take That. Schweinsteiger has also played for Manchester United.
Take That had just released a new album on Friday. Robbie Williams was originally also a member of the band. He was a guest on "Wetten, dass...?" last year.
People around the world can catch Take That's performances on various television media, including ZDF, as they continue their tour in Germany next year. The band's appreciation for German fans is well-documented, with Mark Owen expressing, "Germany has a very special place in our hearts."
