Last Friday, a 25-year-old Afghan caused injuries to five attendees of an anti-Islamic protest and a police officer with a knife in Mannheim. Tragically, the 29-year-old officer later succumbed to his wounds. This occurrence has sparked a renewed conversation about the halted deportations to Afghanistan.

Baum emphasized that not every Afghan is a religiously fueled, violent individual. "Those who have escaped the tyrannical rule of the Taliban and found asylum here should be allowed to maintain that right," he asserted.
