Community and societal issues - "genialsozial's antipoverty crusade - Action day"
Job Swap Day, Work Thrift Shop or Preschool - nationwide, teenagers swap their school desk for a day job before summer break. As reported by the Saxon Youth Circle, 251 schools join the 20th action day "genialsocial - Your Work to Combat Poverty" and roughly 30,000 teenagers participate. They donate their earnings from work to philanthropic initiatives such as rural clinics in Madagascar, building a primary school in Sierra Leone, or a community center for refugees in Cameroon. Schools can use approximately one-third of the earnings to initiate or boost projects for youth in their local area.
